Comments: My husband and I searched all over the internet and after comparing many resorts in the Gatlinburg area, we decided on Appleview. We were very pleased and are coming back again in the spring. The resort is large, private and spread out. The we had the pool and hot tubs to ourselves most of the time, and their riverwalk was a nice place to walk around and enjoy nature. The location was excellent, especially for shopping and going to al lthe Pigeon Forge attractions, but we wish it was a little closer to the Smoky Mountains National Park; it is only a few miles but that can take a while if traffic is bad. All in all we were very pleased.

Comments: We have been coming to Appleview for 3 years and every time we are pleased with our experience! The front desk remembers our name and we get the same room overlooking Mt. LeConte AND the river from the same balcony. We think it is the only resort in the Smokies with both river and mountain views. Looking forward to seeing the new Riverplace units - we might need to break the tradition and stay in one of the new condos next time.

Comments: Our first time to Appleview was an overall good experience We had plans to do things in Townsend so it was a little farther drive since they are so close to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, but otherwise the condos were great - especially when you compare their prices to regular hotels... Appleview is less and you get brand new condos that are privately owned so they all have a very comfortable feel and they are all new and very nice units. the kids loved the game room and we only wish the spa was finished but it is not built yet. everything else was great!
